All that happened in 2013!

From the new offerings and alliances, to the new initiatives and launches, 2013 has indeed been a remarkable year for The Bombay Store. As it comes to an end, we are left behind with some reminiscences of 2013.

Among some major happenings, we kick started the year with ‘International shipping’ for enthusiastic markets like UK, USA and many others to give people all over the world a slice of India. ‘Launchpad’ our initiative for young designers and startups that gives them an opportunity to display their collection at our store, is doing tremendously well and has showcased over 18 brands in Mumbai and Bangalore already.

Not only this; all thanks to your love and support, we were awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by Trip Advisor for consistently achieving outstanding traveler reviews; putting us in their top performing businesses worldwide. We also launched a complete range of ‘Corporate Gifting Solutions’ in August to extend our long legacy and expertise of being India’s foremost destination of gifts and mementos.

In a first ever alliance, The Bombay Store tied up with ‘Elephant Parade’ to support the cause of Asian Elephant conservation and became the first Indian retail brand to be associated with Elephant Parade. With regards to the same, we had also conducted a ‘Paint your own Elephant’ contest online which received a tremendous participation across India.

The year also had us celebrating festivities like Holi, Dussehra, Ganpati and Diwali and occasions like Women’s Day & the monsoon season with amazing discounts, offers and contests. While our regular guests, the ‘Thailand Week’ and ‘The Great Bombay Store Sale’ were nice enough to visit us again this year, we also had some new guests – The ‘Bombay Shirt Company’ who launched its latest pop store at our Fort Store, and the ‘Great Online Shopping Festival’ that we were a part of to celebrate the spirit of shopping.

Going by our mission – ‘Discover a New India’, we consistently delivered you with breath taking collections right from ‘Mandala’ Art at the start of the year, to ‘Mucchad’, ‘Monuments of India’, ‘Rangrezz’ and ‘Shatranj’.

As we end this year, with our 108th anniversary and the last day of our ‘December Shopping Carnival’ Celebrations, we wish you good luck for the year ahead. 2014 sure has a lot more in store. Cheers!
